Chocolate Fountain Guide
Chocolate Fountains are the perfect addition to any occasion or for no reason at all!!
The awesome part is they are easy, low cost but extremely well received and can look stunning. I recently saw one used as a centrepiece on a dessert bar at a Wedding, it was elegant, delicious and had all the guests talking long after the event. Besides, who doesn’t want to dip something yummy into a flowing fountain of quality chocolate. We have complied a list of ideas for fountains and how to tips to help you create an epic event or just because!
Usage ideas:
Weddings, engagements, anniversaries, birthdays, christenings, baby showers (add a drop of Non water based colouring to white chocolate for a gender reveal!), Christmas, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Hen’s night, Family nights, Dessert stations, events and more.
Suitable Foods to dip:
Layer on a skewer any of the following:
Strawberries, bananas, marshmallows, raspberries, fudge pieces, pineapple chunks, mango, kiwi, candied orange peel or banana lollies, any soft lollies stacked, glazed cherries and dried fruit are also perfect.
Hand held foods to dip:
Croissants, musk sticks, liquorice, ginger bread men, wafer biscuits or sticks, pretzels, biscuits, donuts, waffle slices, etc.
Why not have 3 fountains, milk, dark and white. Triple dipped strawberries look amazing! Bowls with chopped nuts, sprinkles and sherbet are perfect to finish off the creations.
Each fountain will have different instructions, so please read before you begin. The machine will require a certain amount to flow through, then to keep it topped up after people use it will depend on how many guests and how many times they dip. You will need to add some cocoa butter or at very least some vegetable oil to help thin the consistency to keep the machine flowing. Our suggestion is to always order more chocolate than you think you’ll need, and if you don’t need it you always have more for another use - what a great excuse to do it again!!
